Irish and Gophers Team Up off the Ice

Jan 10, 2013, 10:10 AM EDT

After battling in Minneapolis on Tuesday night, the Notre Dame and Minnesota hockey programs teamed up on Wednesday.

The squads packaged more than 20,000 meals for kids in need at the Feed My Starving Children headquarters in Coon Rapids, Minn.

Though Notre Dame lost the game, the Irish emerged victorious yesterday, finishing 48 boxes, compared to the Gophers’ 47.
