Hockey Play-By-Play Announcer On The Diamond

Darin Pritchett, the voice of Notre Dame hockey, was seen by many on Jake Kline Field this Sunday as the Irish took on Clemson. Why was Pritchett the ball boy for the Irish? And can we get him to do this the rest of the season after the Irish smoked No. 22 Clemson, 10-3.

The answer to why Pritchett was there is simple, his Cardinals lost to Irish baseball coach Mik Aoki’s beloved Boston Red Sox in the World Series in 2013. His punishment? Be a ball boy for an Irish home game the following season. So Pritchett paid up.
