She has not even begun her first semester as an undergraduate, but freshman guard Michaela Mabrey is already golden.

On Sunday, the Belmar, N.J. native helped the United States win the title at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Puerto Rico. She scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists.

Mabrey earned the seventh gold medal by a Notre Dame player since 2008, and the 11th all-time, and expressed her excitement on Twitter.

Teammate Natalie Achonwa and former Irish guard Brittany Mallory also congratulated Mabrey on Twitter.
