Strong of Heart #4: Debuting Sunday March 3

Mar 2, 2013, 10:24 AM EDT

On Sunday evening at 6 pm ET, the newest Strong of Heart episode will debut on NBC Sports Network. The fourth in the series based off of the annual books profiling inspiring stories in Notre Dame athletics, this episode will feature Monty Williams (’93) and Patricia McAdams (’67 M.S.), two people near and dear to the Fighting Irish basketball family.

Williams’ story brings new meaning to “strong of heart.” After his freshman season, doctors discovered that the talented player suffered from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a potentially life-threatening condition. Today, Williams is the head coach of the New Orleans Hornets.

McAdams, a former nun, has been a strong supporter of the Irish women’s basketball team for many years. In 2008, she was in a tragic car accident that nearly took her life.

Check out the trailer below, and be sure to tune in or set your DVR on Sunday, Mar. 3 at 6 pm ET. The episode will also air on Mar. 4 at 3:30 pm, Mar. 4 at 2:30 am and Mar. 6 at 2:30 am.

In case you’ve missed them, here are the segments from previous Strong of Heart episodes.
