This week on ‘Wayback Wednesday’ we unearthed the 2008 Hawaii Bowl Trophy, or as some would say, ‘the near perfect game from Jimmy Clausen.”

On Christmas eve back in 2008, the Notre Dame football team came to play as Clausen set school bowl records with 401 yards passing and five touchdowns to lead the Irish to their first postseason victory in 15 years, 49-21 over Hawaii.

Clausen was 22 of 26 in the game, finding the unstoppable Golden Tate on six occasions for 177 yards and three scores.

Now sit back and be in awe of the play of the Irish on that Christmas Eve in Hawaii…
