TUESDAY’S T.I.F.I. – Dike’s Goal, Irish In The NFL, ND Rank, Huddle’s Record, Beach Volleyball & More!

Nov 19, 2013, 7:59 AM EDT

The past two days have been huge for a pair of Irish alums. But, first let’s congratulate the Notre Dame men’s soccer team on copping the third-overall seed in the NCAA Championship. The Irish received a first-round bye into the round of 32 and will play Sunday night at 7 p.m. (ET) against either Wisconsin or Milwaukee.

Now let’s look at those alums.

First off, former men’s soccer player Bright Dike was recently called up to the Nigerian National Team to play a few international friendlies. Yesterday, the Super Eagles took the pitch against the Italians and Dike found himself playing against some of the best in the world. Watch what happens next…

Aside from Dike, another Irish alum did some damage on the international front as Molly Huddle claimed the world record in the 12k road race. Josh Flynt of the Notre Dame Monogram Club took the time to compile some information and stories regarding Huddle’s feat. You can read that story here.
